
Send via email Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo will be launching the much awaited planting for food and jobs programme come Wednesday, April 19.
The launch, which will take place in the Brong Ahafo region, forms part of government's plan to create job opportunities through the agric sector. Already, key stakeholders in the agric sector including the General Agric Workers Union (GAWU) have entreated government to focus its energies on cashew and cocoa - cash crops they believe would show up the economic growth of the country.
The planting for food and jobs has been likened to the "operation feed yourself" policy under the Busia administration which saw Ghana reap the benefits of food security.
