Joe Mettle, the newly-crowned Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) Artiste Of The Year, has stated that he is not really bothered about some comments being made by a section of the public that he didn’t deserve the honour.Get more news on celebrities in Ghana hereFollowing his win, the gospel artiste has come under a barrage of attacks claiming that he was undeserving of the award However, the supposedly thick-skinned Joe Mettle, has said he isn’t really influenced in anyway by this comments.
“I am one person; I try not to allow certain things to influence my path, I’m still who I am, certain things don’t really bother me like that, you need people like that, you can ignore. You will always have people like that and I think there is more to be done than what we have done, so if it was two times it has to be more than that so that those who never heard my songs will hear it more” he stated. He further added although there are people criticizing him, he is grateful to his family and fans for the support they have shown him and dedicated his win to them.“That force had a lot of influence in this win,". The artiste, who also made history as the first gospel musician to win the Artiste of the Year title, stress that the win was not for him alone.
